Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan play the two protagonists, who seem to fight the inevitable while living parallel lives at opposite sides of the country. It was nominated for several awards and won a few as well. Though the plot is a bit contrived, Sleepless in Seattle will stay on the list of “must watch” romantic comedies for years to come.

The Hangover
The first in a trio of films, many argue The Hangover should have stayed a solo attempt as it received a much better reception than its counterparts. The 2009 comedy tells the story of four friends in Las Vegas for a bachelor party. They take the themes and tropes of a bachelor’s weekend in Sin City and ramp it up for a hilarious series of misadventures. While it received mixed reviews from critics, it was a box office success and won several awards including the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.
